Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Jordan 7 colorway in 1992 when Michael Jordan was preparing for the Barcelona Olympics. Tinker let Jordan choose which one, and it became the Air Jordan 7 ‘Olympic’ sneaker. An alternate colorway commemorating the Rio Olympics was on hold until his 2016 release of “Tinker Alternative.” The “Tinker Alternate” Air Jordan 7 Retro features a highly contrasting white and blue block color on the upper. This shoe is one of his few Jordan designs to feature Jordan’s Olympic jersey number “9” on the heel.
